1-Day Tour to Leshan Giant Buddha and Ancient Town

OVERVIEW
In the morning, we will move to Leshan to take a look at the largest and tallest stone Buddha statue of the world, which has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Besides the Giant Buddha, there are some temples you can't miss. We will go to the temples to pray like the locals and learn the history and culture of this stunning Buddha status. IOn the way back, we will visit the famous Huanglongxi Ancient Town.
The Leshan Giant Buddha is a 71-metre tall stone statue, built between 713 and 803, depicting Maitreya.
The Giant Buddha
It is carved out of a cliff face of Cretaceous red bed sandstones that lies at the confluence of the Min River and Dadu River in the southern part of Sichuan province in China.

Travel to the Giant Buddha famous for its sculptural beauty and stunning Buddha status. Stop at the front of the Buddha’s giant feet and enjoy a look at the whole Buddha status, from foot to head.
Huanglongxi is situated at the confluence of Jin and Lu Rivers. It has rich tourist resources, consisting of a lake, rivers, movie sets, temples.

There are indeed several weirs along the river here that stem from ancient times, and the town has in fact served as the venue for various scenes in several films, including scenes in the blockbuster film, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

09:00am-12:30pm Hike Giant Buddha (optional boat)
12:30pm-01:30pm Have a lunch
01:30pm-03:00pm Drive to Huanglongxi
03:00pm-04:00pm Visit the ancient town

Due to heavy rain, heavy fog, short notice from the Marine Department, etc., the Leshan Giant Buddha Cruise can be temporarily suspended sometimes. Sorry for the inconvenience it may cause.
