*Starting from April 25, 2024, panda volunteers will not be allowed to enter the panda enclosure, and the arrangement of clean the panda enclosures & collect panda poop will be canceled.

Bifengxia Panda Base, it was built in 2003 and opened in 2004, which makes the best vegetation with clean air and water. Surrounded by the tall and frondent trees, the pandas prefer sitting and sleeping on the branches.

Bei Bei @BFX Panda Base

It serves the purpose of breeding and nursing. It’s about 2hours drive from Chengdu city. The giant pandas, who temporarily lived in the Bifengxia Base because of the great earthquake in 2008, returned to the Wolong Panda Base after its restoration after two to three years.

There is a panda kindergarten in the base, where you can see the baby pandas playing around. Bei Bei, who’s born in Washington DC lives here. Besides the panda base, there are other attractions which are very close: Bifengxia Canyon and Wildlife Park.

09:00am-10:00am Studying giant panda feces
10:00am-12:00am Visit the pandas
12:00am-01:00pm Lunch
01:00pm-01:30pm Watch a documentary video
01:30pm-02:00pm Visit the pandas
02:00pm-03:30pm Learn to make panda cakes
03:30pm-05:30pm Drive back to Chengdu
