*Starting from April 25, 2024, panda volunteers will not be allowed to enter the panda enclosure, and the arrangement of clean the panda enclosures & collect panda poop will be canceled.
Dujiangyan Panda Base is one of the few bases offer panda volunteer program and the first research base for the rescue and disease control of panda in China.
Dujiangyan Panda Base
There are about 50 Panda in the base. The full day program include panda food making, panda feces studying (or panda enrichment learning), and features of documentary video of releasing panda to the wildness.
Accompanied by a professional panda expert who will introduce you the topics of the panda discovery, the history of panda in China, the classification, and panda conservation.

- Age restriction of volunteer: 8-70
- Please advice any specific dietary requirements at time of booking
- Not wheelchair accessible
- A current valid passport is required on the day of travel
- No physical contact like touching or holding pandas
- Group tour range from 1 to 15 people
- The volunteering spots are limited. We will help the guests to join the program in other panda bases if Dujiangyan Panda Base is not available.

Chengdu -Dujiangyan (1.5hrs drive)
07:20am-08:50am Hotel pick up to Dujiangyan Panda Base
09:00am-10:00am Prepare some bamboo for pandas (or watch the keeper to feed panda)
10:00am-11:30am Visit the pandas
11:30am-12:00pm Lunch
12:00pm-01:00pm Visit the pandas
01:00pm-01:50pm Watch a documentary video
02:00pm-02:30pm Visit the pandas
02:30pm-03:00pm Learn to make panda cakes
03:00pm-05:00pm Back to Chengdu

Notes for Panda Volunteering:
1.No perfume, no cologne, no nail polish, be healthy (don’t get cold).
2.wear shoes (no slippers or Crocs).
3.Sunscreen and sunglasses will be useful.
4.Any activities missed due to being late will not be rescheduled, and guests will bear the consequences.
