Then we head to the West Lake to enjoy its serene beauty from a traditional rowing boat. Engage in conversation with your boatman and gain insights into the deep connection between Hangzhou locals and their beloved lake.
Step back in time to the century-old Hu Qingyu Hall, a renowned Chinese pharmacy. Marvel at the vast array of medical herbs and ingredients meticulously displayed throughout the shop.

Day 5
Hangzhou | Dragon Well Tea, and Silk Culture

Drive to the place of origin of the best Dragon Well tea – Meijiawu Tea Village. A local tea specialist will accompany you to pick tea leaves in the right way. Then, he will show you the process of stir-frying tea. Afterward, you will learn the art of tea ceremony and the proper way to taste tea.
China Silk Museum is another highlight of the day. Housing a vast collection of ancient silk artifacts, the museum showcases a wide range of silk clothing and accessories from different eras.

Hangzhou to Guilin | Longji Rice Terraces

Guilin | Longji Rice Terraces

Your guide and driver are ready to escort you to the Longji Rice Terraces which are built into the hillsides and look like great chains or ribbons as they wind around the contours in tiered bands.
The Chinese ethnic minorities, Zhuang and Yao people, have lived there in wooden houses for generations. You will have a chance to interact with them and have a glimpse of their lifestyle.
Join a friendly minority family and learn how to prepare bamboo-tube-rice, a local delicacy in Longji. As you cook, savor the fresh bamboo aroma that infuses the rice. Afterward, explore the family's charming wooden home and gain insights into the lifestyle of ethnic people.
